With the DC Cinematic Universe gaining more and more success with films like Wonder Woman and Aquaman, fans are curious to see what else is in store for the next few years. A teaser has been released of what is said to be Harley Quinn’s next big screen appearance with Birds of Prey. The Suicide Squad will not be featured in this as far as fans can tell, yet Harley still has a whole new cast of characters joining in this film.
The film will be introducing new characters from DC Comics fame, with Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco), and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez). Alongside the female ensemble cast we get Victor Zsasz (Chris Messina) and Black Mask (Ewen McGregor) being featured as who will most likely be the main antagonists. All of the characters were showcased in the new teaser alongside Margot Robbie returning as Harley Quinn herself. The moments are brief with shots of each characters, but fans are still receiving a good look to how the characters will appear in this new film, even with a new outfit for Harley Quinn.
Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is still in production as of now, but an official trailer for the film will probably be released sometime before the end of the summer.
The Suicide Squad follow up is set to be release on February 7, 2020.
