The story that we all know and love is making its return to the big screen in an all-new way. Not to be confused with Domhnall Gleeson’s A.A. Milne film Goodbye Christopher Robin, Disney has come out with its own take on the boy who inspired a childhood staple. This time, Christopher Robin is an adult with a family of his own, but his happiness has ebbed away, leaving him in dire need for the sudden visit from his old companions from the Hundred Acre Wood.
Marc Forester, who also directed both World War Z as well as Finding Neverland, has helmed Christopher Robin. Allison Schroeder and Alex Ross Perry, in turn, penned the script. Ewan McGregor headlines the movie as the real-life Christopher Robin. He will be joined by Hayley Atwell and Bronte Carmichael, who will portray his wife and daughter respectively.
The voice talents of the loveable childhood friends include Jim Cummings playing beloved and iconic Winnie the Pooh; Sophie Okonedo playing sweet Kanga; Nick Mohammed playing the lovable Piglet; Brad Garrett playing gloomy Eeyore; Toby Jones playing the scholarly Owl; and Chris O’Dowd playing Tigger.
