First look at ‘Bumblebee’

The first look at the upcoming Bumblebee is out and its official, Bumblebee is a bug. Playing to the original Transformers franchise that started out as a television series from 1984-1987, the photo above shows actress Hailee Steinfeld, who will be starring the in upcoming release next to the yellow Volkswagon.

Taking place in 1987, Bumblebee hides out in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Nearly 18 year old, Charlie (Steinfeld) finds him and attempts to restore the car, not realizing just what he is.

Directed by Coraline director Travis Knight, Bumblebee is scheduled to come out in theaters December 21, 2018 and will include many other actors including the original voice of Optimus Prime, Peter Cullin, as well as John Cena from Daddy’s Home 2, Pamela Adlon from Better Things, Stephen Schneider of Comedy’s Central’s Broad City,  Jason Drucker from Diary of Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul,  Spiderman: Homecoming’s Jorge Lendeborg, Jr, and American Horror Story’s Kenneth Choi.
