After nearly an almost four year development process, cameras have begun to roll on Martin Scorcese’s adaptation of Killers on the Flower Moon. With this, we have just gotten first look of stars Leonardo Dicaprio and Lily Gladstone in the film.
The film is an adaptation of David Grann’s acclaimed nonfiction novel from 2017. It is set in Oklahoma during the 1920s, the homeplace of the Osage Nation, who were the wealthiest people in the world at the time per captiva after oil was found on their land. Following this, the Osages were killed off one by one, leading the FBI to uncover a conspiracy of one of the most heinous crimes in American history.
The film finally sees Scorsese working with two of his most used actors together, Leonardo Dicaprio and Robert DeNiro. The rest of the cast is made up of Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, Pat Healy, Scott Shepard, Sturgil Simpson, and more.
This will be Dicaprio’s sixth feature film with director Martin Scorcese. It is also the tenth feature collaboration between Scorsese and Deniro. Killers on The Flower Moon is currently filming, and no release date is yet known.
