As expected, Warner Bros’ shrewd marketing campaign for the fast-approaching Godzilla is continuing to release small tidbits, and quick glances of the titular creature. The clearest view yet can be found in the latest TV Spot. However, even in this daylight glimpse of the mighty over-sized stegosaurus (doesn’t it look like one?) we still don’t get the full view. Nor would any tiny human in the movie for that matter, except perhaps those paratroopers falling through the sky.
Apart from Godzilla’s monster abs, we are treated to some new footage, such as Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen having a moment before he joins the army to help fight the monster. That’s right before the trailer cuts to Taylor-Johnson jumping off a plane and then to Olsen looking up in horror at what can only be Godzilla. One can only hope that the movie will be as shocking and exciting to audiences as the monster is to the characters in the film.
We’ll look forward to more tidbits as they come. Epic-scale disaster movie expert Rolland Emmerich’s take on Godzilla scared up over $370 Million world-wide. We’ll see if this incarnation of the monster can do any better. The movie opens May 16th, with advance tickets available this Monday.
