First Full Peanuts Trailer Released

Fox has released the first full trailer for the upcoming Peanuts movie based on the classic comic strip by Charles Shulz. The trailer is in the vein of the holiday staple, A Charlie Brown Christmas, as it focuses on Snoopy and Woodstock voiced by the original Bill Melendez, using audio from the television specials and animated series that aired from 1965 to 2006.

In the trailer Snoopy dreams he’s flying his doghouse to chase his nemesis, The Red Baron, up the Eiffel Tower before he’s knocked back into reality by Woodstock and his friends. Charlie Brown and the rest of the gang are shown in a movie theater at the end of the preview. Fox released a teaser trailer for the animated film last March. The plot remains unknown.

No other voice actors have been announced for the film, though based on the trailers, it could lean on mostly using no-name actors to recreate the feel of the animated specials. This would be a departure from Fox’s other animated productions like the Ice Age and Rio franchises, which feature well-known celebrity talent.

Peanuts will release November 6, 2015, which coincides with the comic strip’s 65th anniversary.
