The MTV Movie and TV Awards brought teased some major fire power with the unveiling of the final trailer to Wonder Woman. Gal Gadot, who teased her take on the iconic Amazonian warrior made famous on the pages of DC Comics in last spring’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Now, she’s back to headline the first standalone feature centered on the superhero.
The synopsis reads: “Before she was Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, Diana meets an American pilot (Chris Pine) who tells her about the massive conflict that’s raging in the outside world. Convinced that she can stop the threat, Diana leaves her home for the first time. Fighting alongside men in a war to end all wars, she finally discovers her full powers and true destiny.”
Wonder Woman, directed by Patty Jenkins, co-stars Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright. The film hits theaters on June 2nd.
