When the world is on the brink of war, the spies are the first line of defense in order to keep things in check. Jessica Chastain leads a group of women in an international effort to stop a group of mercenaries from starting World War III! Back then with the Cold War and the War on Terror, we all knew who the enemy was, but this time around, things are much different. From Universal Pictures, the studio that gave us The Bourne Identity and its subsequent sequels comes a female version of the spy genre in the vain of Bourne, Mission Impossible and James Bond

The supporting cast includes Diane Kruger, Lupita Nyong’o, Penelope Cruz, Bingbing Fan, Sebastian Stan and Edgar Ramirez. The script is being written by American Playwright Theresa Rebeck and the film’s director Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Dark Phoenix). Jessica Chastain pitched the idea for this film to Simon Kinberg while working together on Dark Phoenix. She serves as producer of this film.

The 355 is scheduled to arrive in theaters on January 15 2021. Universal Pictures is distributing the film and from the looks of the first trailer, The 355 does show promise as an exciting action movie with an all female cast. Check out the trailer below and see for yourself. These women are badasses and show no signs of taking any prisoners.

Rick Rice: A kid at heart who has loved watching movies from a very young age. Credit must be given to Siskel and Ebert whose film reviews educated me on the world of film inspired me to become a writer myself. I love to read books that range from various topics, copious amounts of research is something that excites me and of course sitting in a movie theater is a highlight of my life. When I'm not watching movies or reading I enjoy listening to foreign music and working hard on finishing my short stories. Currently working on my degree in English with a plan to enroll into Film School with the dream of becoming a screenwriter and director.
