According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fantasy Camp has just scored the talents of Kristen Bell. The musical comedy will be housed at STXFilms. Parents everywhere will recognize her singing voice, as she played Anna in the ever-popular Disney film, Frozen. Bell also recently lent her voice to a project on pandas.
The film follows a struggling teacher, played by main lead Bell. Though she works at a middle school, she’s also pursuing a new education of her own, namely in musical theater. To achieve her goal to hit the stage as a famous performer, she learns alongside other grown-ups at an acting camp.
Penned by Sid Karger, Fantasy Camp’s production credits will go to both Greg Silverman, Madhouse Entertainment, and of course STX.
Bell is currently the only known performer attached to the role, but we are excited to see who else gets on board for this fun, quirky, music-filled project.
