Not even a full two weeks into its release circuit, A Minecraft Movie has already made more than a reputation for itself. It’s made and continues to make a massive profit at the box office, but it’s also created a headache for movie theater employees all across the country.

A Minecraft Movie, based on the mega-hit game Minecraft, follows Jack Black’s Steve as he tries to save a newly discovered world made of blocks from an ancient evil with the help of his new friends.

Many have taken to commenting on both the quality of the film and their own personal experiences seeing it. Countless people who play the game have voiced their joy at watching the movie in its entirety, but some took it to an extreme.

As the movie goes on, Steve and Garrett, played by Jason Momoa, are captured and thrown into a fighting ring where they have to go up against a chicken jockey. In terms of the game, a chicken jockey is simply a baby zombie riding a chicken, but with its appearance in the movie, crowds all around have made their celebrations over the scene.

We’ve already reported about many loud guests causing interruptions during showings of Minecraft. It got to the point where a show had to be stopped and several guests were escorted out by authorities. Going even further, one attendee at a Cinemark in Utah brought in a live chicken to the film in correspondence with an online trend.

On top of the general disturbances, the attendee in question got on his friend’s shoulder to hold up the living chicken during the scene. A video of it was posted to Instagram, per the Salt Lake Tribune. While no confirmation was given, some accounts state that they went as far as throwing the chicken at some employees.

In their original reporting, the Salt Lake Tribune noted that director Jared Hess stated “you don’t want anyone’s experience to be bad,” alluding to audiences taking their reactions to an unhealthy extreme.

A Minecraft Movie is now playing in theaters.
