Over the near century that he’s been around, many fans have been expressing their love for the Man of Steel in many unique and creative ways. One fan, however, channeled their anticipation for James Gunn’s new Superman into recreating the trailer in the form of Lego.
MovieWeb reports that Trevor Carlee took it upon himself to reimagine the trailer but made it completely out of the iconic building toys.
After posting it to YouTube, which will be linked below, his newly built trailer sits at 21,000 likes as of this writing. He used Blender to animate and render the full trailer.
Carlee wrote in his description that it was his passion for the character that sparked his own motivation.
Similarly, he also commented on the render for Krypto that wound up being used in the animation, calling him “adorable,” akin to how many have reacted to the real-life Krypto.
Lego and DC have partnered officially several times before this. Batman himself was a key character in 2014’s The Lego Movie, and would even get his own spinoff with The Lego Batman Movie. The Lego brand itself has been making sets based on DC, as well, dating as far back as 2006 with a line of Batman sets. Since then, several other comic icons have gotten the Lego treatment, such as Superman and Aquaman.
James Gunn’s Superman hits theaters July 11th.
