Evangeline Lilly Attends Anti-Vaccine Mandate Rally Where Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Spoke

Evangeline Lilly has attended an anti-vaccine mandate rally in Washington DC, last weekend. The same event in which Robert F. Kennedy Jr. invoked Nazi Germany and Anne Frank in his speech.

The Ant-Man and the Wasp star states she attended the rally to “support bodily sovereignty” in an Instagram post. She also wrote that she believes “nobody should ever be forced to inject their body with anything, against their will, under the threat of…” she goes on to mention several phrases in which not being vaccinated can lead to, including the loss of employment and violent attacks.

“I was pro choice before Covid and I am still pro choice today,” she says, including the hashtags, “#medicalfreedom,” “#bodilyautonomy” and “#defeatthemandatesdc.”

The actress did not reference Kennedy’s remarks in her post. During the event, Kennedy, who has been an outspoken opponent of the vaccine, compared Covid-19 vaccine requirements in the US to that of the conditions in Nazi Germany, saying that people living under Nazi conditions could “hide in an attic, like Anne Frank did (Kennedy later apologized for invoking Frank’s name, and his wife, actress Cheryl Hines, condemned the remarks.)

Lilly’s comments about the vaccine and Covid-19 have offended fans before. In March 2020, she had to apologize for an Instagram post about taking her kids to a camp as the pandemic began in North America. She has also made comments saying that “some people value their lives over freedom. Some people value freedom over their lives.”

Lilly states that she is well aware of the repercussions surrounding her course of actions, stating to her fans that she hopes they know that she is doing her part to flatten the curve and is practicing social distancing while staying home with her family.
