Emma Blunt Considers Joining the Cast for Drama, ‘Fade Away’

Among the numerous roles that American-British actress Emily Blunt has been taking on lately from being the Mary Poppins for Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns or preparing to star in A Quiet Place 2, it looks like she might be joining the cast of new project from Annapurna Pictures.

The film, titled Not Fade Away, was written by Lindsey Ferrentino and is based off of the memoir Not Fade Away: A Memoir of Senses Lost and Found by Rebecca Alexander. The book recounts Alexander’s life with a rare genetic mutation known as Usher Syndrome type III which causes simultaneous loss of sight and hearing starting at childhood. It chronicles the limitations she faced on a physical and mental level while attempting to get the most out of her life regardless. The story has been hailed as both moving and motivating by readers, making for a potentially gripping film.

Not Fade Away will be produced by David O. Russell and Matthew Budman alongside Allyson Seeger and John Krasinski, director of A Quiet Place and husband of Blunt, through production company Sunday Night. Blunt has not yet been confirmed for the role, but the news was reported earlier by The Hollywood Reporter.

Robert Thornson Jr.: My name is Robert and I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of California Irvine. I am pursuing a B.A. in Film and Media studies with hopes to work in the creative industry. I have always had a passion for storytelling and since youth I've loved film. I grew up loving the movies of directors like Wes Anderson, Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese, David Fincher, and many more along with writers such as Aaron Sorkin and Quentin Tarantino. One thing I have always done is write about movies and communicate to others information about the "film community" and the industry as well as about the films themselves. I write creatively on a daily basis.
