According to Deadline, Emily Ratajkowski (Gone Girl) is joining the cast of Anthony Byrne’s thriller In Darkness. Already on board are Natalie Dormer (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Parts 1 and 2), Ed Skrein (Deadpool), and Stacy Martin (High-Rise).
Co-written by Byrne and Dormer (in her screenwriting debut), the story centers on a blind musician, Sophia (Dormer), who hears a murder being committed in the apartment above her and is subsequently pulled into the London underworld. Ratajkowski will play Veronique, the daughter of the villain Radic who will play a pivotal role in Sophia’s journey.
Ratajkowski caught the public’s attention as one of the topless models in Robin Thicke’s hit music video for Blurred Lines. She has since appeared in David Fincher’s Gone Girl, Doug Ellin’s Entourage, and Max Joseph’s We Are Your Friends opposite Zac Efron (Dirty Grandpa). Her next project is Cruise, a 1980’s-set indie film directed by Robert D. Siegel (Swimming), about a young Italian-American man (Spencer Boldman) from the wrong side of the tracks who falls for a beautiful Jewish woman from Long Island (Ratajkowski).
