Emily Blunt was charming at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, earlier this month. During an “In Conversation With” session, the British actress opened up about her career, working with her partner John Krasinski, and the development around the long-awaited The Devil Wears Prada 2.

Blunt has won a Golden Globe Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and was nominated for an Academy Award nomination. She has often reminded audiences that her success did not come without challenges. She grew up with a stutter, and it resulted in many challenges. However, with lots of work, she overcame it. She now advocates for children with speech impediments.

At the film festival, Blunt discussed her approach to acting (a topic many would love to learn about). She admitted that when she takes on a new role, she is uncertain how to play the character. Although this is challenging, she has come to like the feeling. She gets to test the waters and get creative with her work.

Blunt is most certainly an icon in The Devil Wears Prada. Now, the future looks bright, with a sequel in the works. Blunt confirmed that the sequel is in development and pre-production. Aline Brosh McKenna, who adapted the first movie, is writing the script.

Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Stanley Tucci are in talks of reprising their roles. Principal Photography is scheduled to start in New York City in February 2025. Additional scenes will be filmed in Paris and London.
