Elizabeth Banks, recently coming off of directing Cocaine Bear, and also had roles in other film franchises like Spider-Man and Hunger Games, is now revealed to be starring in upcoming film, Skincare.
According to Deadline, Skincare comes from director Austin Peters. As far as the plot goes, it’s to be a vanity thriller that takes place in Hollywood, but that’s all that’s been released. The script, written by Sam Freilich, Austin Peters, and Deering Regan, was able to be completed before the WGA strike took effect, and the production as a whole was able to shift into post before the strike.
Alongside Banks in the film is Lewis Pullman, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Luis Gerardo Méndez, and Nathan Fillion. Financing the film is Andrea Iervolino and Lady Monika Bacardi, of Iervolino & Lady Bacardi Entertainment. “Skincare is a film with a strong visual impact that, because of the cast and the workers it involves, has enormous potential. It is a film that we at ILBE believe in very much,” CEO Iervolino said in regards to the upcoming movie.
“It was impossible for this great project not to turn out phenomenally well since we had an awesome creative team and the cast was incredible,” said ILBE Head of Production, Richard Salvatore. The creative team also consists of executive producers Logan Lerman and Jonathan Schwartz, the latter of which served as producer to multiple MCU projects, including Secret Invasion, and the first two Guardians Of The Galaxy films.
Skincare currently has no set release date, but as stated, has moved into post-production.
