The Kennedy family is one of the most famous but complicated political families in all of United States history, with almost every single one of the main family having some form of controversy surrounding them. Ritesh Batra hopes to bring light to one of the most unknown but frightening stories of the family, and he has one of the best TV actresses joining the cast to play the protagonist. Elisabeth Moss, known for her roles on the popular Mad Men and the new hit The Handmaid’s Tale, has officially joined the cast of A Letter of Rosemary Kennedy, where she will play Rosemary, the eldest sister of John F Kennedy, according to Variety.
The film will focus on the harrowing story of Rosemary Kennedy, the oldest daughter of Joseph Kennedy Sr. and Rose Fitzgerald, who spent most of her life out of the spotlight because of the evil actions of her father. Being born with the good looks of the family, she would grow with learning difficulties and developmental challenges. This led to her father blocking her from the spotlight and eventually placing her in an institution, where she suffered from a botched lobotomy.
Moss is currently the only actress cast. Batra will be directing with a script by Nick Yarborough. The film currently does not have a release date, but we expect a release sometime in 2019.
