Elisabeth Moss in ‘Her Smell’ Trailer

Elisabeth Moss, Emmy award winner and nominee for her role in The Handmaid’s Tale, partnered up with Alex Ross Perry again for another whirlwind theatrical release. Previously together for Listen up Philip and Queen of the Earth, Moss signed on to portray the unhinged punk rock star in Her Smell. Making its premiere at the Toronto International Festival, a teaser trailer has been released to give audiences a first look at the film.

Moss plays Becky Something, a punk rock musician with a panache to be bold and brilliant but to also alienate those around her. While battling substance abuse on her long road to sobriety, Becky also desperately tries to stay relevant in her world of fame and adoration. After falling from grace Becky must find new ways to live and contribute creatively.

In the trailer, Becky is unhinged and rattling off words and sentences that sound deranged. After seeing the faces and the reactions of the few people around her, it is clear that everyone has become numb to the punk-rocker’s extreme outbursts. Moss’ uncanny ability to capture the extreme intensity of the characters she portrays is irrefutable

Including Moss, the cast for Her Smell is star-studded. The cast includes Virginia Madsen, Paper Towns actress Cara Delevingne, Drive Angry’s Amber Heard, Pretty Little Liars’ Ashely Benson, The Titan’s Agyness Deyn and Beauty and the Beast’s Dan Stevens. Check out the teaser below.

My youngest daughter battles epilepsy so I am her advocate in several ways. One way in particular is that I am currently writing a children's book that lets other children with disabilities know that they are not alone. Last fun fact is that our family is also proud fur parents to three rescue chi-mix dogs.
