Elijah Wood is set to star in No Man of God as an FBI analyst working with Ted Bundy, as announced by Deadline. The new crime-thriller is set to bring audiences an inside look at Bundy’s life in prison before he was executed.
The film primarily takes place in an interrogation room and draws inspiration from the real-life conversations that transpired between serial killer Ted Bundy and FBI analyst Bill Hagmaier (Wood). Rather than have the movie cover all of Bundy’s crime, this film takes a different approach, focusing on Bundy’s relationship with the FBI and telling them about both his sins and himself. The film takes place between 1984 and 1989 while Bundy was still on death row. The casting of Bundy himself is still a work in progress. In various film adaptation, many actors over the years have taken on that difficult role including Zac Efron, Adam Long, and Cary Elwes.
Amber Sealey will serve as director for the film. Sealey’s previous work includes The Good Night and How Does It Start.
Author and screenwriter C. Robert Cargill wrote the script for the film. Cargil is known for writing on films such as Doctor Strange, Sinister, and Pathogen.
Mark Ward, Stacy Jorgensen, Bill Hagmaier, and director Scott Derrickson will serve as executive producers of the film.
