Ed Helms is set to star in Epic Fail, Deadline reports. The Lionsgate film is currently in development. Helms co-developed the idea alongside Nicky Weinstock, who is also on board as one of the producers. The film will revolve around an elite, yet non-conformist Special Forces team on a desperate mission. They will channel their dysfunction and excessive firepower to save America.
Blacklist writers of The Grackle, Mike Arnold and Chris Poole, will now be scribing Epic Fail. The Grackle is a comedy, currently in development, following a Southern barfly, who uses his fists to help locals settle legal disputes.
No newcomer to comedy, Helms is known for his roles as the dentist Stu Price in the Hangover Films, Brad Gurdlinger in We’re The Millers, and Andy Bernard in The Office. Additionally, Helm will be featured in the upcoming 2014 films, They Come Together, Someone Marry Barry, Stretch, and the 2017 Dream Works Animation project, Captain Underpants (pre-production).
