Roger Rumble and Dylan Sprouse are reuniting with Voltage Pictures to make another YA adaptation. After We Collided, director Rumble is set to direct Voltage Pictures YA film adaptation of Jamie McGuire’s New York Times bestseller Beautiful Disaster.
After We Collided, star Dylan Sprouse, who played Trevor in Anna Todd YA romance novel, joins the Beautiful Disaster adaptation as the one and only bad-boy and ladies man Travis.
Joining the film are Virginia Gardner (Marvel’s Runaways), Austin North (Outer Banks), Libe Barer (Colony), Ethan Embry (Sweet Home Alabama), and Rob Estes (After series).
Bad-boy Travis (Sprouse) is just what college student Abby (Gardner) needs and wants—to avoid. His evenings are spent fighting in underground boxing fights, while his days are spent as the ultimate college campus charmer. Abby, on the other hand, is adamantly opposed to Travis. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis proposes a simple wager: if he loses his next battle, he must abstain from sex for a month. If he wins, Abby will have to reside in his flat for the same period of time. On the other hand, Travis has no idea that Abby’s dark background is about to be revealed, and he may have finally met his match.
“I had a fantastic experience working with Voltage and Dylan Sprouse on After We Collided, and I’m thrilled to be collaborating with them and Ginny Gardner on bringing another beloved novel to life,” said Kumble.
“The adaptation of this beloved New York Times and global bestseller, helmed by one of the most prolific YA directors of all-time, Roger, and led by an incredibly talented cast with massive social followings – Beautiful Disaster has all the makings of the next blockbuster YA franchise,” said Jonathan Deckter, President and COO of Voltage.
Filming has already begun in Bulgaria.
