Documentary On Blackpink Star Lisa ‘Always Lalisa’ Sets Release Date

Always Lalisa, a new documentary film about Lisa,  singer and prominent member of the K-pop group Blackpink, is hitting select theaters this fall. The film will open in IMAX and cinemas worldwide on October 12.

The film follows a monumental year in Lisa’s life as she debuts her first solo album, Lalisa, as well as building a new brand for herself outside of Blackpink. Sony Music Vision is behind the project, but the theatrical distribution will be handled by Trafalgar Releasing. The documentary will be available on YouTube Premium sometime after its theatrical rollout. President of Sony Music Vision, Tom Mackay, said, “Lisa’s music resonates with fans across the globe and we hope this film creates that same powerful connection.” The film is directed by Sue Kim.

Lisa’s acting de but came in the form of HBO’s The White Lotus, where she played Mook. She also has two Netflix projects in development: the action film Tygo and an untitled romantic comedy.

Always Lalisa hits theaters on October 12 and YouTube Premium sometime after that.
