“We see you.” That is one of the first notes left to the poor residents of a home that is about to be terrorized by a group of intruders, as seen in the trailer below. Keep Watching looks to focus on a family terrorized by a team that is filming everything that they do during the “game.” As the night continues, the goal of the game becomes more obvious. Tensions rise as the family struggles to deal with the intruders and an eventual “mysterious guest.”
Bella Thorne (The DUFF, You Get Me) stars as Jamie, one of the children of the family. She stars alongside Natalie Martinez, (End of Watch, Broken City), who plays Nicole, Ioan Gruffudd (Fantastic 4 (2005), Titanic), who plays Carl, Chandler Riggs (The Walking Dead, Get Low), who plays John, and Christopher James Baker (The Purge: Election Year, True Detective), who plays a character named Creator.
The film is being directed by Sean Carter, who is making his feature film directorial debut, but has been an editor on a variety of films, including The Killing Room and Culebra. The screenplay is written by newcomer Joseph Dembner. The film currently does not have an official release date, but it appears to have a planned 2017 release, possibly signaling a late third-quarter to fourth-quarter release.
