According to Variety, D23 announced that Coco 2 will be released in November 2029. Alongside the release date reveal, D23 also shared an art piece with Miguel and Dante. Benjamin Bratt will be back playing Ernesto de la Cruz. He spoke about the sequel’s plot onstage, “To some, Miguel is a little menace who ruined a career and destroyed a legacy,” he said. “Ernesto de la Cruz is back for revenge, sending Miguel on an adventure back to the land of the dead. Proving fate has a sense of humor, Miguel must team up with a handsome superstar: me.”
Adrian Molina and Lee Unkrich direct. Mark Nielsen produces. Coco 2 was one of the current Pixar sequels that had been announced. The Incredibles 3 will be released in 2028, which is the next sequel to release.
