Disney premiered footage of its upcoming Tron: Ares film at San Diego Comic-Con, showcasing the franchise’s Lightcycles for this iteration with not one but two clips that show off action-packed fight scenes on the Grid.

One of the clips shown has already premiered in promotional materials, but the second clip was entirely new.

Jared Leto plays the titular character Ares, a sentient AI living in the grid who teams up and ultimately joins forces with Eve, played by Greta Lee, to escape the Grid to the real world after being pursued by Athena, another AI played by Jodie Turner-Smith, on the orders of Julian Dillinger, played by Evan Peters. Jeff Bridges also co-stars alongside Leto.

Tron: Ares is the second sequel to the original classic 1982 Tron and the 2010 Tron: Legacy, making this upcoming release a trilogy.

The San Diego panel was moderated by Kevin Smith, with Leto, Lee, and Bridges all in attendance. One of the panel highlights was the cast commentary on Nine Inch Nails composing the soundtrack despite rock star Leto of 30 Seconds to Mars being one of the figureheads of the project. Leto very enthusiastically described NIN’s Tron soundtrack as “music that will last a lifetime,” hardening back to Daft Punk’s soundtrack on Tron: Legacy.

Tron: Ares is directed by Jachim Rønning, who previously directed Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. Jesse Wigutow, another Disney creative vet, is the screenwriter, with David Digilio contributing to the story. Tron: Ares will also feature a score and soundtrack by Nine Inch Nails; a few songs that will be appearing in the film have already hit music apps. Catch Tron: Ares in theaters on October 10th.
