Diseny Is Starting Filming on ‘Enchanted’ Sequel

In 2007 Disney released the fairytale movie Enchanted. The movie was a cute parody of Disney’s previous fairytale movies and it was about a cartoon princess named Giselle, played by Amy Adams, finding herself transported to the live action world of modern day New York where she meets a cynical divorce attorney named Robert, played by Patrick Dempsey, and his young daughter named Morgan. Giselle is followed by her former love interest Prince Edward, played by James Marsden, and his evil step mother Queen Narissa, played by Susan Sarandon.

The movie was very successful which is why Screen Rant reports that Disney is making a sequel to Enchanted, which will be called Disenchanted. The sequel is apparently already started filming.

Most of the cast members will be returning including Adams, Dempsey, and Marsden. Idina Menzel, who played Robert’s ex-girlfriend Nancy, will also return. New cast members will include Maya Rudolph, Yvette Nicole Brown and Jayma Mays as well as  Gabriella Baldacchino who will be playing a grown up Morgan.

The movie is expected to be released some time in the summer of 2022. It is believed that Disenchanted will be released directly to Disney’s streaming service Disney+.
