Griff Furst, director of Hayden Panettiere’s last film, posted on Instagram his experience working with her before her untimely death. The director opened by stating how he did not want to speak with other tabloids about Hayden in fear of “taking what he says out of context.”
He said that he met Hayden 10 years prior to shooting the film A Breed Apart, and he was excited to work with her. He stated that when he went to meet her at the start of the film that she was “not okay” and that “the energy in her room was pretty dark.” He went on to say that he “did not want to get into the details.”
He elaborated by saying that her recent book and some press appearances made him feel confident that she was getting better. He closed by saying that there was a “light” in her that was definitely still there when shooting his movie, but there was “something else there too.”
