Details Emerge on ‘G.I. Joe: Ever Vigilant’

Although the production of a G.I. Joe 3 movie has been an “on and off again” project over the last few years, it seems that Paramount Pictures is giving the idea another chance. The next Joe film, G.I. Joe: Ever Vigilant, is hosting Dwayne Johnson as the lead reprising his Roadblock character. The franchise has had its difficulties in the past, but with Johnson’s fan fair, Paramount wants to center his talents to gain favor again.

Details of the screenplay are sparse, but according to ThatHashTagShow.com, the Cobra will introduce some familiar names from the early Joe franchise: the Corsican twins. Diehard Joe fans know the Corsican twins by other names such as the Crimson twins or the Crimson Guard Commanders. They were so named for being the leaders of the Crimson Guard, a faction within Cobra. To make these lethal twins more alluring as true villains, they were also the face of Cobra’s legitimate corporation, the front of Cobra’s devious underground dealings. However, if Paramount decides to present these ruthless brothers, the twins will be the main adversaries within the Cobra that Roadblock and his team will encounter.

Speaking of Roadblock, his unit may have a few new faces as well. If so, Paramount has yet to reveal these mysterious characters. One thing is for sure, the familiar characters fans love like Scarlet, Snake Eyes, and General Joe Colton, are sure to be in attendance.

G.I. Joe: Ever Vigilant is set to be released March 27, 2020.
