Denise Richards, known for her roles in films like Starship Troopers and The World is Not Enough, is set to star in the upcoming Christmas film, A Christmas Frequency.
The general plot will follow Richards playing a radio talk show host facing rapidly declining ratings and a failing marriage. In hopes of having her rekindle some happiness back into her life, the show’s producer decides to start a segment to set her up with a blind date, live on the air. But the conflict comes when a man the producer is interested in applies to be one of the blind dates, forcing her to be torn between her job and her heart.
Director Lindsay Hartley has directed multiple other films, including Romeo & Juliet Killers and Mommy is a Murderer. Screenplay writer Ansley Gordon will also star alongside Richards in the movie, playing the show’s producer. Her other most notable credit as a writer includes Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
Hartley herself has had many credits involving realist concepts, giving them a fun twist to keep the viewer’s attention. Even Richards said she’s excited to work alongside the writer/actress and stated she enjoyed the script when she read it.
A Christmas Frequency is set for a release for the 2023 holiday season and will be broadcast on major leading channels.
