It’s here. Deadpool 2 has released the long-awaited trailer to ravenous fans.
Directed by David Leitch and written by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Ryan Reynolds, this next installation in the Deadpool series picks up as Wade Wilson has survived a near deadly attack of a bovine but still strives to achieve his longtime dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender. Along the way, Wade battles ninjas, the Yakuza, and a group of sexually potent dogs, all the while learning to get used to the loss of his sense of taste. His search for life’s truth essence, as well as a flux capacitor, allows him to uncover the relevance of family, friendship, and the spice of life. Wade’s true accomplishment comes earning the much-envied coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.
In addition to all the zany antics of Deadpool, the trailer also features the introduction of Domino (Zazie Beetz), and the continued coverage of Cable (Josh Brolin), and returning stars T.J. Miller, Morena Baccarin, and Briana Hildebrand. Also present is the formation of X-Force, with the trailer implying that Deadpool himself created the team. Other newcomers in the film and trailer include Hunt for the Wilderpeople‘s Julian Dennison, Terry Crews, and Karan Soni.
The second coming will be in theaters May 18, 2018.
