DC’s ‘Birds Of Prey’ Movie Lands February, 2020 Release Date

Since the release of the first Wonder Woman in 2017, audiences have been excitedly awaiting DC‘s next female-led film.

Well, according to Warner Bros., the next film finally has release date. Birds of Prey, which will both be led and produced by Margo Robbie, is set to hit theaters on February 7th, 2020.

Robbie will reprise her well-known role as Harley Quinn that was introduced during Suicide Squad in 2016.

Robbie will produce alongside Kroll and Co Entertainment’s Sue Kroll as well as Clubhouse Picture’s Bryan Unkeless, and, although they are currently screening a second round of actresses for the other roles, no names have been added to the cast list yet.

The film, based on the DC characters created by Jordan B. Gorfinkel and Chuck Dixon, will follow both female heroes and villains including the Black Canary and Helena Bertinelli. While some villains will surely be “anti-heroes,” it has been confirmed that the actual villain in the film will be Black Mask.

Cathy Yan is set to direct.
