Disaster Artist star Dave Franco and Broad City Actress Abbi Jacobson are going to Netflix with their brother-sister drama, 6 Balloons.
The forthcoming Netflix film, written and directed by Marja Lewis Ryan, takes place around sister Katie (Jacobson) discovering that her brother, Seth (Franco) has relapsed on his heroin addiction. Now, instead of planning a surprise party for her boyfriend, Katie must spend an agonizing night watching Seth’s daughter as he tags along with a worsening withdrawal.
The feature also stars 7-time Emmy nominee Jane Kaczmarek, who will be playing the siblings’ mother. Kaczmarek is best known for Malcolm in the Middle, where she also played Malcolm’s mother, Lois.
Franco’s 6 Balloons is inspired by the real life experiences of the film’s co-producer, Samantha Housman. The film will be streaming on Netflix beginning April 6. Watch the trailer below.
