Dave Bautista to Star and Produce ‘Traphouse’ In Reunion With Signature Films

 

Dave Baustisa and his longtime partnership with with Dream Bros Entertainment alongside Signature Films are reuniting once more as they will collaborate on Traphouse, an upcoming action thriller which the Guardians of the Galaxy actor will star in according to Deadline.

Fast & Furious creator Gary Scott Thompson will serve as the chief writer for the screenplay which will follow the meanders of an undercover DEA agent and his partner who pursue a cunning group of teenage thieves who specialize in robbing dangerous cartel groups using their parents’ maneuvers and intel in doing so.

Bautista who is also a co-creator will serve as a producer on the project alongside frequent collaborator Meisner. The deal for the film was negotiated by Signature’s Marc Goldberg and Sarah Gabriel. Fourth Wall Management’s Jon Huddle, Gary Scott Thompson’s representative Craig Emanuel and Jay Rosenthal of Dream Bros also contributed to the negotiations of the film.

Dream Bros is responsible for the production of films such as My Spy which served as their first project since formation. My Spy will see a release date next year by STX. Signature Films is the production half of UK independent distributor Signature Entertainment. The company is the engineer behind projects such as The Hatton Garden Job and The Courier.
