Dave Bautista, Jason Momoa, And Ángel Manuel Soto Join Forces For MGM’s Buddy Comedy ‘The Wrecking Crew’

Action heavyweights Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa are teaming up with Ángel Manuel Soto, director of Blue Beetle, for the much-anticipated buddy comedy The Wrecking Crew, now under the MGM banner.

The groundwork for this exciting project was laid well before industry disruptions. Bautista and Momoa were already in talks, and Jonathan Tropper’s script was secured ahead of strikes, showcasing their dedication.

While plot details remain guarded, the initial pitch garnered widespread interest, leading to MGM’s victory in a four-studio bidding war in the fall of 2021. The project has also enlisted Jeffrey Fierson, a collaborator of Momoa’s, as producer.

Dave Bautista’s packed year includes roles in Knock at the Cabin, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Brittany Snow’s Parachute, and the upcoming Dune: Part Two.

Fresh from Fast X, Jason Momoa gears up for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. His plate also features Apple TV+’s Chief of War, Warner Bros’ Minecraft, and Legendary’s hybrid Animal Friends.

Director Ángel Manuel Soto, known for Blue Beetle, is breaking barriers with diverse storytelling, as seen in Menudo: Forever Young’ and Charm City Kings.

The Wrecking Crew buzz has ignited excitement, with details revealed by The Wrap. Bautista, Momoa, and Soto’s collaboration promises an electrifying and memorable cinematic ride.
