Craig Robinson’s Comedy Set Evacuated Amid ‘Active Shooter’ Situation

Craig Robinson’s Comedy Zone stand-up set in Charlotte, North Carolina was canceled last night after a man pulled out firearm around 9 p.m. and ordered everyone to leave. While the club was fortunately evacuated before shots were fired, the local authorities have confirmed the weapon was discharged. There were no injuries and the suspect is now in custody.

Robinson took to social media to inform everyone that he is unharmed and safe. In an Instagram video, he detailed he was waiting to go on in his dressing room and the event was a “moment for sure”. In a more lighthearted turn of events, the video was posted while Robinson was in the audience of a Big Time Rush concert. The boy band happened to be performing a show at a venue nearby and he was told to go there while the police handled the “active shooter” situation. After a crazy and surely stressful evening, at least Robinson got to end the night at a Big Time Rush concert.

Robinson is best known for his role in the iconic American comedy series The Office in which he played Darryl Philbin. He also played LeVar “Freight Train” Brown on The Cleveland Show, as well as Doug “the Pontiac Bandit” Judy on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and as Nick Webber in Hot Tub Time Machine.
