Confusion As Hugh Jackman Appears To Reveal Name For Upcoming ‘Wolverine-Deadpool’ Crossover

Hugh Jackman as Wolverine

In a tweet on January 4th titled “Don’t Get Me Wrong,” Hugh Jackman films himself speaking about the Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds Christmas comedy musical Spirited. He praises the film for being a hilarious romp, wildly laughing at the song “Good Afternoon.” However, he lampoons the idea of the song being short-listed for the Oscars. It would make 2023 insufferable since he’s spending the year shooting the as-yet-unannounced Wolverine and Deadpool. It seems to confirm the title of the upcoming film he and Reynolds would star.

Reynolds likewise replied with a glib, “Disagree. I think the deepfakes that sung and danced for Will and I would love to perform at the Oscars.” making the joke that Ferrel and himself didn’t do the singing and dancing in the film. He followed up with, “Also, “Wolverine and Deadpool,” bub?

It should be noted that the title of the film starring the Merc with a mouth and Weapon X has not officially been announced yet, and Reynolds reply and his natural goofy and facetious nature could point to that not being the official title. However, if Jackman did reveal their proper name, it would not be the first time an actor accidentally revealed information about the film they starred in.

For example, Tom Holland has an entire compilation on YouTube of him accidentally revealing information about upcoming film plot details, endings, appearances, and twists in live interviews. so frequent are these slip-ups that it becomes a running gag for his interview partner to cover his mouth after revealing something he’s forbidden to.
