Comic-Con: DreamWorks Animations Plugs ‘Trolls’ and ‘The Boss Baby’

Trolls were in full force at Comic-Con‘s Hall H this morning as DreamWorks Animation kicked off events plugging their latest musical animated property Trolls. Also included in the package was the first look at their next animated offering The Boss Baby, which featured voice actor Alec Baldwin, in his first Comic-Con appearance.

Trolls, an upcoming animated musical, features the voice talents of Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Russell Brand, Zooey Deschaniel, James Coburn and Gwen Stefani. DreamWorks Animation first sent an impressive selection of clips at the Cannes Film Festival this past May and followed that up with an even more generous package for the crowds at Comic-Con. All together, nearly twenty minutes of footage was shown to Hall H-goers for the film. The music is clearly the highlight here, as the movie appears to use a mixture of both pop classics and new songs including the Timberlake-penned “Get Back Up Again.” Trolls opens in theaters on November 4th.

The Boss Baby, heading to theaters on March 13, 2017, made an appearance on the panel, introducing new promotional materials. The film, from Madagascar director Tom McGrath, features the voice talents of Alec Baldwin, Steve Buscemi, Jimmy Kimmel, Lisa Kudrow and Patton Oswalt and centers around a very unusual baby, voiced by the Emmy-winning Baldwin.
