Lionsgate has released the official trailer for the epic romantic drama The Age of Adaline starring Blake Lively (Hick), Harrison Ford (Star Wars), and Michiel Huisman. Directed by Lee Toland Krieger (Celeste & Jess Forever), the story follows a woman named Adaline, who after surviving a fatal car crash that mysteriously renders her ageless, lives out the twentieth century moving from one adventure to another until finally meeting a man (Hiusman) who makes her re-consider her immortality.
This film marks the first project from Lively since 2012’s Savages. Depending on how it is received by audiences, this could be a great career move for the actress as her character helms the film in which the likes of Ford as well as Oscar-winner Ellen Burstyn (Requiem for a Dream) play supporting roles. The only possible setback The Age of Adaline may face is its Tim Burton-esque quirkiness without the actual Tim Burton, as the preview makes the film out to seem like a female-led Big Fish. For those apt toward the romantic sappiness sure to come with such a youthful rating, however, they can expect to see the film starting April 24, 2015.
