Dan Stevens (The Guest) is having big year. On the small screen, the British actor stars as mutant David Haller in FX’s Legion, which premiered this past week. On the big screen, we will see him as the Beast in Disney’s much-anticipated Beauty and the Beast opposite Emma Watson (The Colony), opening in theaters on March 17th. Audiences will get to see him next in a new drama from director Ido Fluk, The Ticket, which also stars Malin Akerman (Misconduct), Kerry Bishé (Blue Highway), and Oliver Platt (Chef). Check out the official trailer below:
A miracle happens to James; once blind, his vision is now restored. Ecstatic, he explores a new life, eager to be rid of all signs of his former disability. He leaves behind those who were close to him in pursuit of superficial worldly attainments, becoming metaphorically blinded to what is truly important.
Speaking to EW after the film’s debut at the Tribeca Film Festival last year, Stevens said, “It was very much Ido’s intention to explore something unexpected. It ultimately comes from this question of prayer and faith and what happens when your prayers are answered or not. I think it’s something that James struggles to come to terms with.”
The Ticket opens in theaters on April 16th.
