Check Out the Teaser for Pixar’s ‘Coco’

Pixar has premiered our first glimpse of Coco, their upcoming Latin-tinged animated tale from director Lee Unkrich. Unkrich won an Academy Award for directing the Pixar triumph Toy Story 3 (2010) and throughout his distinguished career with the animation giant served as co-director of Toy Story 2 (1999), Monsters, Inc. (2001) and Finding Nemo (2003).

Coco serves as the second of two Pixar offerings this year, the first being this summer’s Cars 3.

Official synopsis for Coco:

“Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.”

Coco hits theaters on November 22nd.
