In preparation for it’s July 29 release date, Warner Bros. has released a new red-band trailer for the upcoming reboot, Vacation starring Ed Helms (The Hangover) and Christina Applegate (Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues).
The movie follows Rusty Griswold (Helms), the son of Clark (Chevy Chase, Hot Tub Time Machine 2) and Ellen Griswold (Beverly D’Angelo, Accidental Love) from the original franchise, who decides to successfully recreate the road trip he took with his family to the Wally World theme park.
The trailer offers a stronger idea of the family dynamic that will fill the movie. Of the two Griswold children, it’s clear that youngest, Kevin Griswold (Steele Stebbins, A Haunted House 2) loves to bully his older brother James (Skyler Gisondo, Amazing Spider-Man 2). It also looks like the family will stop by Debbie’s (Applegate) college alma mater and find she led a much different life. Leslie Mann (This is 40), Charlie Day (Horrible Bosses) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) co-star.
Vacation was written and directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein (Horrible Bosses). Check out the trailer below. The film opens July 29, 2015.
