The DC Entertainment movie Suicide Squad is now filming, and pictures revealing the actors as their iconic characters—namely, the Joker (played by Jared Leto) and Harley Quinn (played by Margot Robbie)—have emerged.
In the above picture, we see two stills of Harley Quinn and the Joker standing off against one another. Though it’s hard to tell which order these pictures come in, the one on the left shows the Joker slapping Harley Quinn, and in the right, Harley Quinn pulls a gun on the Joker. The comic arc about the Suicide Squad features a group of villains coming together in a secret government organization led by Amanda Waller, played by Viola Davis.
The cast also includes Will Smith as Deadshot, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman (reprising his Batman v Superman role), Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, and Joel Kinneman as Rick Flagg. The movie is written and directed by David Ayer and is part of the wider DC Cinematic Universe, which includes the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as well as Justice League Part 1 and 2.
Suicide Squad is set for release on August 5, 2016. Check out the rest of the photos from the set below.
