“I’m beginning to like this,” Michael Fassbender’s character Callum Lynch ominously says at the end of the brand new trailer for Fox’s Assassin’s Creed.
Based on the ground-breaking video game and adapted by New Regency and Ubisoft film, Assassin’s Creed is set to hit theaters December 21. The film is directed by Justin Kurzel and written by Bill Collage, Adam Cooper, Scott Frank, and Michael Lesslie.
Assassin’s Creed is set similarly to the game and follows Callum Lynch, a career criminal who has direct ties to his ancestor, Aguilar de Nerha, an assassin in 15th century Spain. Through the use of futuristic technology, Lynch is able to unlock his memories and experiences from over 500 years ago becoming a Master Assassin.
Marion Cotillard, Michael K. Williams, Ariane Labed, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, Charlotte Rampling and Khalid Abdalla also co-star.
