Gal Gadot presented the latest trailer for this summer’s highly anticipated Wonder Woman. In a move that was a long time coming (perhaps way too long), the first standalone film centered on the indomitable DC Comic superhero is finally hitting theaters this summer. Gadot, who debuted her Diana Prince in last year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, stars and Patty Jenkins (Monster) directs.
While the revamping of the DC Cinematic Universe has been a work in progress – particularly considering the mixed reception yet high box office returns of Man of Steel, Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad – yet Wonder Woman looks to be on stronger footing. Thanks in part to Gadot’s well-received take of the character and to clear-footing marketing angle that has showcased not just the epic scope of the film but also a certain humanity as well.
Chris Pine, Robin Wright and Connie Nielsen co-star. Wonder Woman hits theaters on June 2nd.
