Disney has just released another trailer for the much-anticipated and truly gorgeous animated film, Coco. Over the past few months, the company has been sending out teasers for the film, which will reach theaters in a very short amount of time. The movie follows a young boy who longs to be a musician and his family, both living and deceased. Despite the danger it involves, he decides to go into the Land of the Dead, a choice which may result in his entrapment there for all of time.
Adrian Molina and Lee Unkrich directed the film together for Disney and Pixar. They also share writing and story credits for the movie as well.
The film will star names such as Gael García Bernal, Anthony Gonzalez, and Enrique Iglesias. Additionally, as an interesting fact, it looks like Natalia Cordova-Buckley is slated to play iconic artist Frida Kahlo. As the film’s style relays a fascination with art and music, it makes sense that she would appear. It will be intriguing to see what liberties the film takes with real-life people who have since passed away and how it will work with the film’s original characters throughout the Land of the Dead.
The trailer can be viewed below!
Coco will hit theaters later this month on November the 22nd.
