Football fans tuning in to see the Patriots-Seahawks matchup in this weekend’s Super Bowl have a special treat in store. Universal has chosen to premiere the trailer for the upcoming Ted 2 during the big game. The sequel to Seth MacFarlane’s 2012 hit about a foul-mouthed, raunchy teddy bear finds our (maybe not-so) lovable hero as a newlywed looking to start a family.
In Ted 2, Ted marries his sweetheart Tami-Lynn (Jessica Barth) and they look forward to starting a family. When they have trouble conceiving, Ted enlists his long-time buddy John Bennett (The Gambler‘s Mark Wahlberg) as sperm donor, and as in the first film, hilarity ensues. Amanda Seyfried (Mean Girls), Morgan Freeman (Now You See Me), and Liam Neeson (Taken) join the action for this go-round.
MacFarlane (A Million Ways to Die in The West) voices Ted and directs from a script he co-wrote with Alec Sulkin & Wellesley Wild. The film hits theaters on June 26th. Check out the trailer below.
