Just a day after USA Today released stills from the highly-anticipated YA romantic dramedy Paper Towns, the first trailer for the film has premiered on Thursday’s Today show.
The film is based on the novel by John Green, whose The Fault in Our Stars was turned into a wildly popular film last year. Nat Wolff, who co-starred in Fault, stars as Quentin ‘Q’ Jacobsen, who pines for his beautiful but enigmatic neighbor, Margo (model Cara Delevingne, in her big screen debut). After convincing Q to join her in an evening of pranks to take revenge on her cheating boyfriend, Cara mysteriously vanishes, but not without leaving a series of clues for Q to help him track her down, sending him and his friends on a coming-of-age road trip.
The script was adapted from Green’s bestseller by Fault scribes Scott Neustadter and Michael J. Weber. The film opens wide on July 24th. Check out the trailer below:
