Check Out a New Clip From ‘Hail, Caesar!’

Hail, Caesar!, the latest film from Oscar winning filmmakers Ethan and Joel Coen is set to arrive on February 5th. In preparation for the all-star period romp, Universal Pictures has unveiled a slew of goodies including some fresh stills and brand new clip of the film that is set in the 1950s in the heyday of the studio system.

Oscar winner George Clooney (O Brother, Where Art Thou?) returns to Coen mold portraying dim Hollywood star Baird Whitlock, who turns up missing while shooting new swords and sandals epic for the fictional Capital Pictures. Enter Hollywood fixer Josh Brolin (portraying a Coen-ized version of real-life studio fixer Eddie Mannix) to solve the case and try to keep the scandal out of the press. The ensemble cast includes Scarlett Johansson (Lucy), Jonah Hill (21 Jump Street), Tilda Swinton (Michael Clayton), Ralph Fiennes (The Grand Budapest Hotel), Channing Tatum (Foxcatcher), Allison Pill (Snowpiercer), Frances McDormand (Burn After Reading), Alden Ehrenreich (Blue Jasmine) and Dolph Lundgren (The Expendables).

This isn’t the first time the Coens have focused on inside Hollywood stories- their 1991 savage satire Barton Fink essayed a New York playwright’s hellish encounters while working inside the Hollywood machine. Hail, Caesar! looks a more jovial affair. The film is set to open the 2016 Berlin Film Festival and arrives on screens stateside on February 5th. Check out our gallery of stills below.
