Charli XCX To Star In ‘The Moment’ Produced By A24 With Studio365

British singer-songwriter Charli XCX is transitioning to the big screen. While this isn’t her first time working in film (she contributed music to movies such as Barbie, Bottoms, and Bodies, Bodies, Bodies), she will be displaying her talent in a completely different way this year. It was announced that the internationally celebrated musician will produce and star in her own film The Moment under her new Studio365 production banner with A24.

According to IMDb, Charli is certainly not slowing down anytime soon. Amongst her slew of projects, she is also starring in the highly anticipated Gregg Araki (Mysterious Skin, The Doom Generation) film I Want Your Sex. The Black Bear produced thriller includes Cooper Hoffman and Olivia Wilde. Charli’s music fans need not worry though as she is co-producing and writing songs with Jack Antonoff for the upcoming A24 film Mother Mary.

Charli rose to exceptional levels of fame with her 2024 album Brat. Named number one album of the year by Rolling Stone and The Guardian, reviewers and listeners were captivated by the album. In glowing review, Billboard commented “She is pop music.” Charli gained even broader acclaim after she tweeted “kamala IS brat” during the 2024 Democratic American election campaign.

The details of The Moment are mostly unknown. We do know the film was born from Charli’s original idea. Debut feature filmmaker and photographer Aidan Zamiri co-wrote the screenplay with Bertie Brandes and will be directing. Long time Charli collaborator A.G. Cook is composing the music.
