Channing Tatum is in talks to star in the next Jonathan Levine film Bad Romance. Levine wrote and directed his debut film The Wackness, and is becoming a sought-after talent with critical and commercial hits 50/50 and Warm Bodies under his belt. While no details are available on the film’s plot, Levine again wrote the screenplay and will direct Bad Romance. If all goes well, Tatum will produce the film alongside Reid Carolin, Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti.
As far as future projects are concerned, Tatum will be producing and starring in a biopic of motorcycle daredevil Evel Knievel. While he will also be starring in 22 Jump Street and the sci-fi pic Jupiter Ascending, his next film to hit theaters will be Bennet Miller’s Foxcatcher. The film is based on the autobiography of Olympic wrestling gold medalist Mark Schultz, and was recently delayed from December to next year.
